The Plant Nutrition and Genomics Lab (NGP Lab) is part of the Institute of Biochemistry and Microbiology, Faculty of Sciences, Universidad Austral de Chile, in Valdivia.
We study how plants sense and coordinate the use of sulfur and nitrogen. We combine bioinformatics, transcriptomics, molecular biology and physiology to find regulatory genes that improve growth and yield in wheat and other crops, from the lab to field trials in southern Chile.
We are part of the Millennium Institute for Integrative Biology (iBio), and our work is funded by ANID through FONDECYT grants.
