This week we started sampling our experimental wheat field trial for the 2025/26 season. This FONDECYT project, led by Dr. Javier Canales, aims to uncover the molecular and physiological mechanisms behind efficient sulfur and nitrogen use throughout wheat development, and how the interaction between these two nutrients shapes the yield of a crop that is key to global food security. 🌾
